Well, today was the first session for Marketing Management. Our Prof. Dilney started by explaining the grades breaks-up, syllabus and rules of his class. "When going for a posh business meeting, as you take your seat, you keep your phone on the table with its face down. That is a basic business etiquette. In the same way, keeping your phones and laptops away while seated in my class, is a basic learning etiquette." Point noted :-)
The participation grade has most weight in this class. Reason - with help of our participation, we are also helping him get a sample of knowledge that our brain has in store.
He started throwing in Marketing jargon already :-)
And this went on even while he explained the rules of his class using the Five Peez and the basics of marketing using three Ceez, etc.
"This time I am not going to use the "A" company examples" - he said referring APPLE. Of course, if students need to use the APPLE example, they are free to do so :-)
Anyways, this course is something I have never studied before and hence another course to look forward to.
